Troy Bush developed LYNTYS out his experience serving as a missions strategist in Moscow, Russia. The LYNTYS principles were a core element of an urban church starting strategy he implemented there. He adapted those same principles for Olive Baptist Church, Pensacola, FL, where he later served as the minister of evangelism and missions. Churches across American and in Russia are now using LYTNYS to focus their evangelism and discipleship efforts on making disciples.
He currently serves as the director of church starting for Embrace Baltimore, a strategic focus city effort of the North American Mission Board. Troy holds a Ph.D. in Missiology and has taught in seminaries and colleges in the US and Eastern Europe.
He is married to a wonderful wife, Tina, and they have three great kids. He believes being a disciple of Jesus Christ is the greatest experience to be found in life. Instead of encouraging people to “get saved,” the message of LYNTYS is to become a vibrant follower of Jesus and invite others to join you in the journey.
